Class: The Happiest Baby on the Block

Having a baby changes our lives in so many ways, bringing joy and wonder in the amazing miracle of birth. But it can also bring sleepless nights, colic, and stress to both new and experienced parents. This class is based on the theories by Dr. Harvey Karp, nationally renowned pediatrician and child development specialist, and discussed in his book and DVD, “The Happiest Baby on the Block”. New and expectant parents will learn how to soothe a crying baby in minutes, help their babies sleep better, and feel more confident in their parenting ability.

Class: HypnoBirthing ®

HypnoBirthing ® is a method of childbirth education that uses guided imagery and self-hypnosis techniques to allow women to have a safer, easier, and more comfortable birth. Tension and fear can inhibit the normal, physiological function of birth. The HypnoBirthing ® method eliminates that fear-tension-pain cycle, allowing women to trust in the innate capabilities of their bodies.
The series of five classes will discuss common myths and misconceptions about birth, give you tools to relax throughout the different stages of your birth, and empower you to give birth confidently, calmly, and safely, gently welcoming your baby into the world.
Each class will last approximately 2.5-3 hours. The class fee includes a book, 2 CD’s, and multiple handouts. Both group and private classes are available. Group classes are limited to three couples.
