I began my journey to Midwifery years before I even realized I was on the path to Midwifery. I spent much of my free time reading about birth and pregnancy and while supporting my mother through her Midwife attended VBAC with my youngest brother in 2007 I realized that I truly wanted to support birth. After graduating high school I attended Sacred Mountain Midwifery School in WV and finished in December 2012, in that year I began my first apprenticeship with a local Midwife. After the birth of my daughter I began my second apprenticeship with another local Midwife for three years while I attended Midwives College of Utah. I paused my Midwifery studies for a few years to focus on family and Birth & Postpartum Doula work and have found myself back on the path to Midwifery at Brookhaven.

I find that how we experience our pregnancy and how we are supported in birth sets the foundation for our parenting. Midwifery care has the ability to change the world through positive, safe, supported pregnancy and birth care and I have a calling to be a part of that care. I have had the pleasure of working under so many fantastic Midwives and I am thrilled to be a part of the Brookhaven team to continue to learn, grow and provide support for birthing families.
